Class is held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. during the Meditation Service. All ages of children are welcome.

We start class with a brief meditation. We use techniques specially geared for kids.  Afterwards, we do an art or craft project related to a Buddhist concept, e.g. creating a mandala or drawing pictures of the Buddha. A Buddhist story is read to them while the kids are doing the project.  We open and close class with a brief Buddhist ritual by saying "Namo Amida Butsu" (I take refuge in the Wisdom and Compassion of Amida Buddha) three times and bowing toward the shrine.
